Okay, I'll admit it. 22 years as a New Englander and not once have I visited Martha's Vineyard. So this summer I decided to change that. My family and I picked up and hopped on the ferry for a day of fun. We didn't go in with much of a plan, I wanted to see the gingerbreads and my parents wanted to head to Edgartown. So we did exactly that in that order. We wandered around the Oak Bluff's campground where pastel cottages can be found everywhere before heading over to Lookout Tavern for the island's best lobster rolls. After lunch we caught the bus over to Edgartown where we shopped, wandered and drank. I loved the sophisticated style of Edgartown, I could have looked at the houses all day. We finished our day up by eating dinner at Sharky's Cantina with some delicious margaritas and delectable food.

Rosecliff      

I recently visited one of the Newport mansions, Rosecliff. While I have spent plenty of time in Newport and around the mansions, this was my first visit inside of one. They frequently hold events throughout the summer, so keep an eye out for fun occasions! On this particular day, Rosecliff was holding a flower show. Different vendors displayed their gardens as you wandered through the flowers and pop-up boutiques. Most people are dressed up for these events, some even look like they're off to the races in their intricate sun hats. I opted for my Gal Meets Glam dress, it is so effortlessly chic. Paired with a pair of linen wedges and elegant drop earrings, I fit right in among the event-goers. I'll link all my outfit details below!

It is almost the best time of the summer, 4th of July! If you're not already celebrating this weekend I am sure you will be next weekend! Lucky for you I have the perfect outfit for any Fourth of July gathering. This dress from J. Crew is great because it can be used all summer long, not just for the holiday. The subtle gingham print lends itself to the blue and white theme. Tie in red with accessories and you're good to go! I chose red statement earrings and a bold lip. I wear these earrings CONSTANTLY so they were a great investment. I dressed my outfit down with sandals, but it could easily be dressed up with a pair of wedges or block heels.
