New Hampshire
Last week we shipped up to Maine for our last ever February break of college. We spent the week hanging with family, eating yummy food and squeezing in the last of our favorite winter activities. We hiked, we shopped, and I even taught Leon how to ski. On one of our last days we headed over to New Hampshire for a fun-filled family day. We went to Alpine Adventures, a super cool spot in Lincoln that offers all types of excitement. I've been here a few times to zipline between mountains, climb into treehouses and tube into giant airbags. It's never a dull time. On this particular day, we were headed off on a mountain excursion. This trip will drive you up the mountain in a crazy six-wheeled all-terrain military vehicle. It's a bumpy ride, but it's so much fun and the view from the top is incredible.
After we peaked at the mountain, we headed over the well-known ice castles. We've done these before, and weren't quite as impressed this year. It is constantly growing in popularity so expect long lines and big crowds. If you can, try to reserve an entrance time at night so you can see the castle light up, that is by far the most spectacular part.
