Salem

Salem
I have always been fascinated by the Salem witch trials. I grew up visiting the area and learning about the history. It is something I look forward to doing every year and would suggest a visit if you've never been. The town bustles with haunted houses, ghost tours, old cemeteries, magic shoppes, boutiques and museums. I usually spend a full day, but could easily fill a weekend. Jumping into the fall spirit, I wore a long autumnal cardigan over jeans and high boots. The outfit was casual, but I am in love with this Madewell sweater. It is so soft and long, and the rusty shade is perfect for this time of year!

Pumpkin Festival 2017

Pumpkin Festival 2017
For me, fall is all about traditions. Every year, my weekends quickly fill up with plans made with friends and families. Every so often we try something new; for instance this year I am visiting Sleepy Hollow, New York for some spooky fun. On the other hand, there are some traditions that never change. One such custom is to visit the Milford NH Pumpkin Festival. Held in the middle of a small, quaint town, the pumpkin festival is probably not something most people would travel to yearly. However, my family makes the trek to pick apples, share fair food and carve pumpkins in a graveyard every single fall. It's a long day so I always try to dress comfy, this year choosing jeans and a button down paired with high boots (necessary for the orchards!) I love that this top dresses up the typical flannel style with a big bow collar, plus it is the perfect fall colors.

Whale Watch

Whale Watch
Recently, Leon and I headed over to Gloucester for a little whale watching date. Before we set sail, we stopped in Rockport for a harbor-view lunch and a trip to the farmer's market. We shared an amazing bowl of clam chowder and a delicious lobster roll. Rockport is an adorable coastal town that absolutely deserves a visit if you've never been. The seafood is delicious and the residential areas are filled with bright houses with intricate moldings. We took a walk down by the water before heading over to Gloucester for our trip. We saw 5 whales and a sunfish while sharing some yummy macarons we picked up at the farmer's market. If you're looking for a whale watch, I was able to find this one for a steal on Groupon! I know my outfit is a little warm for the weather we've been having, but the boat was chilly (and I was eager for an excuse to start layering). I opted for my favorite Holly sweater over a scalloped KJP oxford. Currently, the Holly sweater is sold out, but I linked it below so you can check back every so often. This sweater is essential for layering, I own it in 7 colors!

Harvard Square

Harvard Square
This weekend I spent all of my time with a visiting friend watching Halloween movies, baking cookies and making yummy comfort food. It was the most relaxing weekend I've had in a long time and I was so happy to be able to share it with good friends. Although we spent a lot of time staying cozy on the couch, we did head out to Harvard Square for a delicious Saturday brunch. Cambridge is one of my favorite places to go for meals; it has amazing restaurants and shops, with none of the difficulty that comes with going into Boston. We ate at my favorite restaurant in the area, Park. If you haven't been, check this place out! They have unreal cheese boards and everything from patty melts to lamb ragu on the menu. We took the rest of our drizzly day to shop and walk around the classic walls of Harvard Yard. The temperatures dropped so low, I didn't even feel bad about my first hot cocoa of the season! I kept warm in a turtleneck paired with a plaid skirt and tights. For that extra cozy factor, I tossed on the softest scarf in the world and ta-da! Ready for fall!
